PEGASUS Pearl Earrings
These statement ancient coin earrings feature the pressed relief of an ancient Roman coin with the detail of Pegasus in the center.
These earrings are named after the mythical Greek creature Pegasus. There are many stories surrounding Pegasus however my favourite one is that he was responsible for the Muses sacred fountains of inspiration on Mount Helicon. In a burst of excitment he struck the side of the mountain with his hooves and it caused the natural springs to transform into flowing fountains of inspiration. This beautiful coin represents freedom, creativity and inspiration.
The earrings are intentionally created to feature the melted molten droplets created as the hot coin is pressed into the wax, along with texture left from the makers tools and hands. It is then cast in your desired metal using the lost wax casting process. After this I carefully wire wrap, using extra fine pure silver wire tiny reclaimed freshwater pearls along the bottom edge. Each pair of earrings are hand made and will be completly unique to you.

The earrings measures approximately 2 cm in diameter, although it is not a perfect circle and approximately 2 mm at its thickest point.
